Vietnam plans to reopen six international routes from September 15,2020

Vietnam plans to reopen six international routes from September 15.

According to the plan just proposed by the Vietnam Aviation Administration to resume regular international flights to Vietnam, flights between Vietnam and China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Laos, and Cambodia are based on gender frequency.

The plan to resume international flights only involves regular international flights and passengers entering Vietnam. In order to ensure the ability to test and isolate, international flights into Vietnam are evenly distributed on weekdays, with a maximum of two flights per day, per place.

Under agreements with aviation authorities in other countries/regions, the Vietnam aviation authority proposes to implement a plan to resume regular international routes to Vietnam from September 15.

1 /Vietnam – China:

The two sides agreed to open the Ho Chi Minh Guangzhou route on Monday, with each party’s frequency of one flight per week.

The number of passengers quarantined after entering Ho Chi Minh City was up to 540 per week.

2 / Vietnam – Taiwan :

Taiwan proposes to allow at least two flights per week to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam civil aviation administration proposes:

• Hanoi – Taipei is once a week per flight;
• Ho Chi Minh City – Taipei City is once a week per flight;

In Hanoi, the maximum number of people expected to be quarantined is 620 / week, and 700 / week in Ho Chi Minh City.

3 / Vietnam – Japan:

Japan proposes to operate at least 2 flights/week in total. Proposed by the Vietnam Civil Aviation Administration

• Hanoi – Tokyo is one flight per week;
• Ho Chi Minh City – Tokyo is one flight per week;

The maximum number of people expected to be quarantined in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City is expected to be 560 per week in each city.

4 / Vietnam – Korea:

At present, South Korea proposes to allow flights from Seoul to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City at least twice a week. Proposed by the Vietnam Civil Aviation Administration:

• Hanoi – Seoul, once a week per flight;
• Ho Chi Minh City – Seoul, a week per flight;

In Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, each city has a maximum of 650 people per week.

5 / Vietnam – Cambodia:

The two countries agreed to operate the Can Tho – Phnom Penh route with the frequency of one flight per week. The number of segregated passengers in can tho city is expected to be 400 per week.

6 / Vietnam – Laos:

The Ministry of aviation of Laos has confirmed by e-mail that it has received a document from Vietnam Civil Aviation Administration on reopening routes, but has not yet made a specific reply.

If Laos agrees with Vietnam’s proposed frequency plan, the maximum number of passengers expected to enter Hanoi is 350 passengers per week.
