A judicial certification (criminal record certificate) is a card showing an individual’s criminal record and is issued by the institution that manages the judicial record database (the Ministry of Justice or the national criminal record center under the Ministry of Justice).
Judicial certification: Prove whether the applicant is prohibited or isn’t prohibited whether the establishment, management, or position of individuals in enterprises or cooperatives (for those enterprises and cooperatives declared bankrupt by the court).
Judicial record certificate includes Judicial certification No.1 and Judicial certification No.2.

Judicial certification No.1: it shows the applicant’s existing criminal conviction and is issued to individuals, institutions, and organizations to serve human resource management and determine the right to establish and manage enterprises and contracts.
The documents to be prepared for applying for a Judicial certification No.1 include:
Judicial certification No.2: shows all criminal convictions and is issued to individuals to verify their criminal records or to procedure enforcement agencies to serve investigation and trial.
To apply for Judicial certification No.2, you need to prepare the following documents:
10-15 days, depending on the institution accepting the application for judicial filing, apply for judicial filing according to the situation.

Note: after completing the online criminal record inquiry procedure, you must submit paper documents to the accepting institution.
(2) How can a foreign citizen apply for a Judicial certification
Personal submission – documents to be prepared: application form for criminal record certificate, copy of passport, copy of foreigner’s permanent/temporary residence certificate.
You submit your application to the Ministry of justice, residence (foreigners living in Vietnam), or national criminal record center (foreigners living abroad).

Original ID card / CCCD and copy of household register (Vietnamese);
