In addition to handling Vietnamese visas and Vietnamese landing visas at embassies or consulates, Vietnamese e-visas are also another legal way for foreigners to obtain Vietnamese visas.
However, the difference between the Vietnam e-visa and other visas is that the e-visa is only applicable to foreign citizens who enter Vietnam for tourism or business purposes through a single entry within one month.
When Vietnam Electronics was first launched in 2017, it was applicable to citizens of 40 countries. So far, the number of eligible nationalities has increased to 80 (including Indian, Hong Kong, and Macao citizens). Therefore, please carefully check whether you are eligible for this new Vietnam visa.
Foreigners can directly apply for a Vietnamese e-visa to the Vietnamese Immigration Bureau or seek help from service providers or Vietnamese visa agencies.
If you apply yourself on the Vietnamese Immigration Bureau website, please visit the link: https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/web/guest/home and follow the guidelines.
-> Please note that you should check your personal information and the place of entry and exit again when applying. If the visa is wrong, you cannot enter Vietnam, the fee will not be refunded. After receiving the visa, you should also check your information again and again.
If you submit your visa application form to the Immigration Bureau, the processing fee for a Vietnam e-visa is only US $25. However, please note that this fee is non-refundable regardless of whether your Vietnam e-visa is issued or not. Normally, it takes 3-7 working days for the Vietnamese immigration bureau to approve your application. However, it is recommended that you send your application at least 2 weeks before the departure date. Especially on public holidays or other special occasions, the number of applications increases above the normal level.
