Vietnam e-visa

How to use E-visa to re-enter Vietnam at Moc Bai 2022

Test COVID: go to Diag Lab in Ho Chi Minh City to test RAT, 135k VND. Get results via text within 20 minutes, then go back and get the paper.

  • address: Diag Laboratories: 119 Yersin, Pham Ngu Lao Ward, District 1

Bus Stop: Take bus No. 4 to An Suong Station, from the bus stop at the corner of Diag Lab on Pham Ngu Lao, download the “BusMap” app for information. But you can play GrabCar or Grabbike, there are always promos for this app.

An Suong Station to Moc Bai: At An Suong Station, go to counter 3 of the Dong Phuoc company and buy a bus ticket to Moc Bai. This is a 16-seater private minibus, not a bus. It cost 90,000 VND and took 2 hours. The number of your minibus is written on the ticket. I don’t know how many minibusses there are every day, but one comes every hour.

20 minutes walk from the border office, there are motorbike taxis there and they will drop you off at the border for 30,000 VND.

At Moc Bai: Walk into a Vietnamese immigration office and ignore the people who want to talk to you. Go directly to the counter. Hand in your passport along with your E-visa.

Bavet, Cambodia: Just a 5-minute walk to the Kambo border office, a motorbike can take you. Once you walk into the office, you will need to present your VAX certificate, coronavirus test, E-visa, and passport. After completing all the forms, you can go to the immigration counter to get your stamp.

Back to Moc Bai: the first stop is a VN health area where shady guys will try to talk to you, just ignored them and proceeded to the desk. Showed your vax, Covid test, and health QR and they will let you through. If you don’t have the test you take it here for $10. Walk into a Vietnamese immigration office and ignore the people who want to talk to you. Go directly to the counter. Hand in your passport along with your E-visa.

Back to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon): There is a guy in the immigration hall offering a taxi back to District 1. They give a price is 1.1 million VND, you may negotiate him down to 900,000 to 1 million (but I was tired, so I agreed to their price. The service was good, he sent me directly to the hotel in D1). If you use the minibus in the morning, you need to go back to the place where you got off in the morning, and you don’t know how long you will have to wait.
